Pictures Only is a short drama that you can only watch on Cineshort. It's a story set in 1950s Bronzeville. Our protagonist Lo cannot earn enough money from his job. The racism and discrimination experienced in America of that era, combined with financial difficulties, makes the situation even worse. Due to the landlords' significant rent increases, they face the risk of being evicted from their home. Lo, who quit his job, needs a new job that will pay him more money. When his friend directs him to what he knows as his uncle's restaurant, events take a completely different turn. Racism and discrimination are outdated thoughts that are still experienced even today. It is absolutely unacceptable for people to be subjected to racism and discrimination because of their skin color, language, or beliefs, and to suffer because of it. We now live in a global world order. Everyone needs each other's knowledge, thoughts, and markets. In such a world, incidents caused by discrimination must definitely come to an end. Returning to the film, I really liked the movie and found it successful in terms of conveying the social environment of that era. Enjoyable viewing.
